11 fishermen freed at Wagah reunite with kin in Karachi

The men, held for years after straying into Indian waters while fishing, reached Karachi from Lahore in Edhi ambulances and met relatives at the Edhi Centre near Merewether Clock Tower.

Eleven Pakistani fishermen arrived in Karachi on Friday morning and reunited with relatives at the Edhi Centre near Merewether Clock Tower.

Indian authorities had handed them over at the Wagah Border more than two months earlier; they travelled from Lahore in Edhi Foundation ambulances.

Some returnees say they will quit fishing or work only off Balochistan; families of missing men still wait for news.
