28th Amendment debate is premature, says PPP's Nisar Khuhro

Nisar Khuhro of the PPP called the 28th Amendment debate premature, saying the ruling PML-N lacks the two-thirds majority needed in parliament.

PPP leader Nisar Khuhro said any debate on the proposed 28th Amendment is premature.

He said the ruling PML-N lacks the two-thirds majority needed in parliament, even if allies join.

Khuhro said governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is not meant to last long and could end after an anti-terrorism action plan.

He said the government has not closed the door to talks with political parties on the situation in KP.

Aiman Saleem, daughter of former cricketer Saleem Yousuf, announced joining the PPP at the same event.
