ADNOC, OpenAI and G42 seal UAE energy AI partnership
Abu Dhabi’s ADNOC said it will be the first energy firm to deploy OpenAI Frontier, working with G42 to plan fields and forecast oil markets from Abu Dhabi’s ADIPEC stage.
ADNOC on Monday said it will partner with OpenAI and deploy OpenAI Frontier, calling itself the first energy firm to do so.
The announcement came as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman attended the ADIPEC oil conference in Abu Dhabi.
ADNOC said the models will help value barrels still in the ground and build full-field development plans from well and facility data.
ADNOC and OpenAI will also work with Emirati AI firm G42, chaired by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
On Sunday, Saudi Aramco said it was taking a 49 percent stake in AI company Humain and injecting about 9.9 billion Saudi riyals this year.
