Afghan medical graduates in Pakistan barred from house jobs
Afghan medical graduates in Pakistan lost house job training at Bannu, and a Nowshera notice said some trainees' visas had also expired.
The Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Bannu ended house job training for all Afghan MBBS graduates with immediate effect, according to a notification dated Oct 9.
The notification linked the decision to a letter from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) and a letter from the Prime Minister's Office.
Afghan postgraduate trainees at Nowshera Medical College and Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex were also terminated and told to leave.
A Nowshera notification said the trainees' visas had expired.
The sources do not include the text of the PM&DC or Prime Minister's Office letters, so the full reasons are not confirmed.
