AGP special audit of LWMC after CMIT fleet inspection
The Auditor General of Pakistan will examine fuel use, mileage and vehicle repairs at Lahore Waste Management Company after a CM Inspection Team found gaps in fleet records and tracking.
The Auditor General of Pakistan will carry out a special audit of Lahore Waste Management Company on fuel consumption, vehicle mileage and repair and maintenance.
The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team inspected the Suthra Punjab Programme in Lahore on 8–9 September and flagged gaps in fleet management and record-keeping.
Inspectors found vehicles idle for months at Outfall Road and Thokar yards, manual maintenance logs, and mismatches between workshop records and the tracking system.
Some 291 vehicles are proposed for auction, delayed earlier by litigation with international contractors.
The Local Government and Community Department wrote on 20 October 2026 asking for an audit team to be deployed at the earliest.
