Bagh SP rejects gas cylinder claim in Pandi house explosion

Bagh police say the 29 October explosion that killed four in Pandi Topi was from explosives already inside the house, not a gas cylinder, and a 15-year-old girl remains under treatment.

Four people—two women and two children—were killed in a house explosion in Pandi Topi, Bagh district, AJK, on 29 October.

Bagh police say explosive material was already inside the house and reject early local claims that a gas cylinder caused the blast.

A 15-year-old girl, Aneeka Shakdar, was injured and is being treated at District Headquarters Hospital Bagh.

SP Ameeruddin said nothing was thrown into the house from outside and alleged later firing and grenade use against police.

Police link a social media campaign blaming state institutions to elements tied to the banned Joint Awami Action Committee; investigations continue.
