Police register Bahawalnagar case against two hiding women
Police in Bahawalnagar registered an 11 October case against two women under the Anti-Rape Act, alleging a false rape complaint and an attempt to extort money.
B-Division police in Bahawalnagar registered an FIR on 11 October against two women.
Sub-Inspector Shahnaz Akhtar alleges they filed a false rape case and tried to extort money from a man identified as Z.
On 30 January 2025, the woman identified as A told Judicial Magistrate Bilal Hassan she had not been abducted or assaulted.
The January case was dismissed after that statement, the FIR says.
Police say both women are in hiding and raids are under way to arrest them.
