Army major Wajahat Waheed killed in Gwadar IED blast
The military's media wing said Major Wajahat Waheed was hit in Shadi Kaur, Pasni, while a separate Kalat operation killed four militants and recovered a large cache of arms.
Major Wajahat Waheed, aged 34 and a resident of Lahore, was killed when an IED targeted his lead force component in Shadi Kaur, Tehsil Pasni, District Gwadar.
In an intelligence-based operation on 18 October 2026 in Jattakabad, District Kalat, four militants were killed.
Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition in the Kalat operation.
Sanitisation operations, meaning searches to clear an area, will continue in Shadi Kaur.
The ISPR said the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign will continue at full pace.
