Balochistan journalists Black Day over unpaid salaries
Balochistan journalists Black Day saw black flags at press clubs and a Quetta sit-in against dismissals, bureau closures and unpaid salaries after a PFUJ call.
Journalists across Balochistan observed a Black Day on Tuesday on a call by the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ).
The day recalled the 3 November 2007 emergency and protested forced dismissals, media bureau closures and unpaid or delayed salaries.
Black flags were raised at press clubs province-wide; reporters wore black armbands and held demonstrations.
In Quetta, the Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) staged a sit-in outside the Quetta Press Club with lawyers and civil society.
