Bannu’s district administration has banned pillion riding, the display of weapons and tinted vehicle glass under Section 144 until 7 November.
The order cites an anti-polio campaign from 2 to 5 November and past attacks on vaccination teams and their police escorts.
Deputy Commissioner Zia ur Rehman Khattak issued the order on Saturday; it took effect on Sunday.
Health teams aim to give polio drops to 228,000 children under five across 57 union councils.
Patwaris and union council secretaries on official campaign duty are exempt from the weapons-display ban.
