Mustafa Kamal opens Care1166 health complaint system
The Care1166 helpline lets Islamabad residents lodge health complaints by phone, with tracking numbers and automatic routing to officers; a nationwide rollout is planned.
Federal Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal launched the Care1166 Health Complaint Management System at the Federal Directorate of Immunization in Islamabad.
Residents can dial toll-free 1166 to complain about the health ministry, its departments, and government hospitals and dispensaries.
Complaints are routed automatically; a central dashboard and 39 department heads track progress in real time.
Each caller gets a unique digital tracking number; the system is to expand beyond Islamabad later.
The ministry said women, low-income households and marginalised communities should benefit most from phone-based access.
