CPWB chairperson Sarah Ahmad marks Girl Child Day, Lahore
On International Day of the Girl Child, child protection Punjab chair Sarah Ahmad said every girl needs education, safety and equal chances, and called early marriage a barrier.
CPWB Chairperson Sarah Ahmad said on Sunday that girls' education, protection, upbringing and empowerment are a shared responsibility.
Her special message marked the International Day of the Girl Child, observed on October 11, and was reported from Lahore.
She raised concern about abandoned newborn girls and called early marriage a major obstacle to girls' education.
She described legislation against child marriage as an important step and asked parents and teachers to explain online risks.
