Leghari says DG Khan airport upgrade complete by January 2028
Energy Minister Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari said runway work is under way with Civil Aviation Authority teams during a site inspection in Dera Ghazi Khan.
The Rs5.5 billion expansion of DG Khan airport is due for completion by January 2028.
The upgrade is aimed at enabling international flights, following the prime minister's announcement.
Civil Aviation Authority teams are working on the project, including the runway extension.
Loadshedding will continue on feeders with 30% or higher losses, the minister said.
