Diamer Basha Dam project: Power China-IKAN JV gets HM-1 deal

Latest on the Diamer Basha Dam project: WAPDA has signed the HM-1 contract, worth Rs133.18 billion, for the dam's gates and steel structures.

WAPDA signed the agreement for the HM-1 Contract of the Diamer Basha Dam Project at a ceremony at WAPDA House.

The contract is worth Rs133.18 billion and has been awarded to the Power China–IKAN Joint Venture.

The work covers gates and steel structures that will control water flows at the dam, along with related systems.

The dam is being built across the River Indus, about 40 km downstream of Chilas town.
