PMA threatens two-day strike unless FBR clinic raids end
At a Karachi briefing, medical associations said non-emergency care would stop nationwide if FBR clinic raids and police FIRs against doctors are not halted.
Medical associations in Karachi warned of a two-day countrywide strike on Nov 1 and 2 if demands are unmet.
They want FBR raids on private clinics stopped and an end to direct criminal FIRs in alleged negligence cases.
During any strike, only emergency services would continue; all other care would be suspended.
Leaders also sought a Healthcare Professionals Protection Act and security for medical facilities.
A PMA Central Council meeting on Nov 28 will decide the next steps.
