Americans vote on Tuesday, with Democrats widely tipped to take the House and the Senate still uncertain.
Bitcoin was about $77,975.62 and ether about $2,268.42 after last week’s $6.3 billion Binance theft.
Binance said it had covered 95% of stolen assets after customers withdrew $3.64 billion when trading resumed Sunday.
Traders also watch October US jobs figures and rate decisions in the UK, Australia, Norway and Sweden.
