KP chief secretary: Dr Irfan posted with immediate effect
Dr Muhammad Fakhare Alam Irfan, until Sunday the Power Division secretary, is now KP chief secretary, while Shahab Ali Shah returns to the Establishment Division.
Dr Muhammad Fakhare Alam Irfan, a BS-22 Pakistan Administrative Service officer, was appointed KP chief secretary on Sunday.
He was secretary of the Power Division; the Establishment Division posting is immediate and runs until further orders.
Outgoing chief secretary Shahab Ali Shah, a BS-21 officer, must report to the Establishment Division at once.
Fourteen other PAS officers in the province were withdrawn, as part of the removal of 15 key administrators including Mr Shah.
The same day, the federal cabinet recommended emergency rule in the province over security and allegations about the provincial counterterrorism effort.
