Elon Musk confirms Grok Bot weekly limits after cost spike

SpaceX’s Elon Musk said serving Grok Bot cost too much relative to revenue after some users found weekly quotas suddenly full over Halloween weekend.

Elon Musk confirmed that Halloween-weekend Grok Bot weekly limit max-outs were not a glitch.

He wrote that the cost of serving Grok Bot was unsustainably high relative to revenue.

Some users on X said their usage meters jumped from as low as 50% to 100%.

SpaceX said AI now makes up 52% of company income; its Super Intelligence unit posted a $431 million profit.

Musk has not yet said how subscribers’ usage limits will change going forward.
