Vawda says KP setup can be replaced if it fails to perform
At the Faisal Vawda press conference in Islamabad, the senator said the KP setup could be replaced if it fails, while backing emergency rule over a worsening security situation.
Senator Faisal Vawda said on Tuesday, 13 October that KP's current setup, including Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, can be replaced if it fails to perform.
He said results should start to show within 60 days and that people should receive relief within 180 days.
He backed the emergency and governor's rule imposed last Sunday by President Asif Ali Zardari on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's advice, calling law and order alarming.
He described 13 years of PTI rule as destruction, alleged a "nexus with terrorists" and a 195% rise in terrorism, and gave no supporting detail.
He said KP and other provinces will not be divided, and that an option to "reboot" Pakistan was being considered without explanation.
