FBR Active Taxpayers List drops those missing Oct 31 filing
Anyone who missed the October 31 income tax return or extension deadline is off the list and faces higher non-filer withholding until they pay a surcharge and regain ATL status.
FBR refreshed the Active Taxpayers List on 1 November 2026 and removed those who missed the 31 October filing or extension deadline.
Tax Year 2026 deadlines had already been pushed from 30 September to 15 October, then to 31 October; no further extension was announced.
Late extension requests still awaiting Commissioner approval currently appear inactive.
Missing names are treated as non-filers for higher withholding by banks, property and vehicle registration offices.
Rejoining the ATL after a late filing requires a surcharge: Rs25,000 (individuals), Rs50,000 (AOPs), Rs100,000 (companies).
