Taxpayers can now correct e-invoices past 72 hours via IRIS

The FBR IRIS update lets taxpayers apply for changes to sales tax invoices, but each request needs approval from the concerned Commissioner Inland Revenue first.

The FBR has added an option in its IRIS system to amend or cancel electronic sales tax invoices after the 72-hour limit.

Annexure-C (Sales) of a sales tax return cannot be filed while a request is pending.

Invoices already linked to Annexure-C or approved under another request are not eligible.

The option sits under the Sales Tax applications section of IRIS.
