Gemini 4 Carbon release date marks coding, cyber leap
The Gemini 4 Carbon release date is Wednesday, as Google rolls out a frontier model it says leads major AI benchmarks and opens first to select cyber defence partners.
Google released its latest frontier model on Wednesday, citing gains in coding, agentic tasks, and cybersecurity.
The company says the model ranks first on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index (v5.0), ahead of Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra.
Access is limited for now to selected cybersecurity defence firms in Google’s Fairwind Program, with wider partner access planned later.
Introductory pricing matches Argon: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
Google says the model cuts unsupported claims by two times versus Argon and can persist for days on complex engineering work.
