PSO import cost to set local LPG producer price caps
From November 1, local producers’ ceiling would track Pakistan State Oil’s landed import cost instead of the Saudi Aramco contract price, industry representatives say.
The government plans to revise the LPG pricing formula from November 1, 2026.
Local producers’ maximum price would be tied to PSO’s landed import cost, replacing the Saudi Aramco contract price.
Industry estimates domestic producers could raise prices by up to 40%, with retail LPG possibly up 20–25%.
Local production is about 35% of supply; imports cover about 65%.
The petroleum minister has not formally confirmed the change.
