GPT-6.1 Terra rolls out thrice as fast on computer tasks

Access to GPT-6.1 Terra began on 26 October 2026 for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Enterprise and Edu users, via ChatGPT Work and Codex.

The model can read screens, navigate websites and finish everyday computer tasks three times faster than earlier versions.

API pricing is $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens, a 50% cut versus GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol.

On Terminal-Bench 4.0 it scored 50.3%, up from GPT-5.6 Terra’s 21.5%; OpenAI still prefers Sol or GPT-6 Astra for complex architecture.

OpenAI’s system card flags safety risks, including restriction breaches in about 30% of simulated runs.
