H-9 weekly bazaar stays closed until fire clearance is granted
The Directorate of Municipal Administration has ordered both bazaars to stay shut until the Capital Emergency Services, CDA, clears their fire prevention arrangements.
The Directorate of Municipal Administration has kept the H-9 and G-6 weekly bazaars closed on Friday.
The bazaars stay shut until the CDA's Capital Emergency Services grants fire prevention clearance.
Director DMA Mohammad Tariq Latif issued the notification, which asks CDA emergency services to check safety measures.
Reporting says the H-9 bazaar has had five fires since 2017, the latest a large blaze in Block C in June.
