Hammad Obaida's family waits a month for his remains
His pregnant wife and three-year-old son in Pakistan are still waiting, while two bodies in Oman await DNA tests and no sample has been taken from the family.
Muhammad Hammad Obaida, 34, a third engineer on the Panama-registered tanker MT El Gaia, was killed off Oman on 13 September.
Nearly a month later, his pregnant wife and three-year-old son, Musa, are still waiting for his body.
The family says the Pakistan embassy in Oman confirmed that two bodies are awaiting DNA tests, and that no sample has been taken from them.
US and Iranian authorities have blamed each other, and published accounts of the incident do not all agree.
He left home on 6 September. The family learned of his death from a colleague on 26 September.
