Hesson: Pakistan yet to play best cricket before final
Pakistan’s white-ball coach says the side has three wins without peak form and expects senior batters to step up against Sri Lanka at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
Mike Hesson says Pakistan have not yet produced their best cricket before Saturday’s ODI tri-series final against Sri Lanka in Lahore.
The final at Gaddafi Stadium starts at 1pm local time, with the toss at 12.30pm.
Pakistan reached the final first after three straight wins, then lost their last league match to Sri Lanka by eight wickets.
Hesson has overseen 12 wins in 19 ODIs since becoming white-ball head coach last year.
He expects experienced top-order players to deliver in the big match.
