Houthis call for immediate Aden airport evacuation
Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree linked the alert to a Saudi military cargo aircraft he said was carrying weapons; residents reported hearing explosions in Aden before the warning.
Yemen’s Houthis on Wednesday urged people to leave Aden’s international airport at once.
Spokesperson Yahya Saree said a Saudi military cargo aircraft carrying weapons was present there.
Saudi authorities had not commented immediately on the claim.
Residents said explosions were heard in Aden before the Houthi warning.
The airport has been struck repeatedly and serves as a key gateway for southern Yemen.
