Hugo Boss returns to Pakistan Accord after safety dispute
The German fashion brand will re-enter the legally binding factory-safety pact after declining renewal earlier this year, drawing praise from unions that had pressed for a reversal.
Hugo Boss will rejoin the Pakistan Accord effective January 2027, reversing its earlier decision not to renew.
The brand was an original 2023 signatory; it declined when the pact was extended from 1 January with renewal through 31 December 2029.
Unions had criticised the exit; Accord inspections found remediation at eight Hugo Boss-linked factories still at an early stage.
Labour groups welcomed the return and urged Polish retailer LPP, which also did not renew, to follow suit.
