Justice Malik to hear Imran Khan jail meeting case on Nov 5

The Islamabad High Court has fixed November 5 to hear a National Dialogue Committee plea seeking an Imran Khan jail meeting at Adiala Jail, along with registrar objections.

The Islamabad High Court has scheduled November 5 for a petition seeking a jail meeting with Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi at Adiala Jail.

Justice Umair Majid Malik will also take up objections raised by the court’s registrar’s office.

National Dialogue Committee members, including former ministers, say visits have been blocked for months and seek court directions to the jail superintendent.

Respondents named include the interior secretary, the Punjab home secretary and the Adiala Jail superintendent.

Petitioners cite Articles 9 and 14 of the Constitution, the Pakistan Prison Rules, 1978, and the UN Nelson Mandela Rules.
