Rana Iqbal notices alleged Ravi Road detention, torture
Punjab Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan has asked Lahore DIG Operations for a detailed report on an illegal detention case involving a woman and children at Ravi Road Police Station.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan took notice on Sunday of alleged illegal detention and torture of a woman and her children at Ravi Road Police Station in Lahore.
He sought a detailed report from Lahore DIG Operations and directed a thorough, transparent and impartial investigation.
Authorities were told to examine all relevant evidence and submit a report based on verified facts at the earliest.
The minister said legal action would follow against those responsible if the allegations are substantiated.
