Iqrarul Hassan sent to jail on judicial remand in PECA case
Iqrarul Hassan, arrested about a week earlier, was remanded to jail after a Karachi court rejected the NCCIA's plea for more physical custody until Oct 26.
Judicial Magistrate (East) Gulraiz Memon rejected the NCCIA's plea for eight more days of physical custody of Iqrarul Hassan.
The anchor was sent to jail on judicial remand until October 26.
He was arrested about a week earlier and booked under several sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
The defence has filed a bail application, with a hearing set for October 21.
The NCCIA says forensic analysis of seized digital devices and Nadra records is still pending.
