Islamabad court grants five-day remand in student case
Judicial Magistrate Zunaira Zafar approved five days after police sought 10, in a fraud-linked case over an International Islamic University student's reported suicide.
The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad granted police five days of physical remand of suspect Nauman.
Police had asked Judicial Magistrate Zunaira Zafar for 10 days.
The case is registered at Ramna Police Station and concerns alleged fraud and the reported suicide of an International Islamic University student.
Nauman was produced in court with his face covered. Investigators say they must still establish his alleged role and verify the evidence.
