Islamabad Police Will Impound Vehicles of Unlicensed Drivers
Underage driving in Islamabad will lead to vehicle impoundment rather than criminal cases, while unlicensed drivers must obtain a licence to reclaim their cars.
Islamabad Police have decided to launch a crackdown on underage and unlicensed driving in the federal capital.
Cars driven by people without a valid driving licence will be impounded and released only after a licence is obtained.
For underage drivers, police will impound the vehicle instead of registering a criminal case; parents must submit a written undertaking.
The IGP also announced more patrolling, improved police vehicles and fewer static checkpoints outside the Red Zone.
