JazzCash adds AJK electricity bill payments via app and agents
Consumers of the AJK Electricity Department can pay bills in the JazzCash app or at agents without a bank account or smartphone, the company and the AJK government said.
JazzCash now accepts AJK Electricity Department bill payments through its app and at agents across Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Agent payments can be made over the counter without a smartphone or bank account.
The option saves residents, especially in remote and hilly areas, a trip to a bank branch or collection centre.
BISE AJK examination fees were already payable on JazzCash, and the platform now carries more public payments.
The AJK government said digital payments save time and travel and improve public service delivery.
