K-Electric loadshedding schedule widens to Karachi exempt areas

In some localities, standard daily loadshedding has risen from 9 hours to 12 hours.
Shutdowns of three to six hours now occur regularly in exempted residential areas.
Unannounced interruptions of 8 to 15 hours continue across the city.
Residents say K-Electric often blames outages on maintenance work and technical faults.
