Heavy snowfall hits Kaghan Valley; MNJ Road partly closed
Police cleared the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road only as far as Naran on Monday and barred onward trips toward Babusar Top while snow fell across the valley.
Heavy snow fell across Kaghan Valley from early Monday, including Naran, Babusar Top, Saiful Muluk Lake, Battakundi, Basal and Lolosar Lake.
Police suspended traffic between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road over hazardous conditions.
Crews reopened the route up to Naran; tourists were barred from going beyond Naran toward Babusar Top until weather improved.
Hotel and wildlife officials said visitors were still arriving to see the snow and urged caution on the Balakot–Naran stretch.
