Karandaaz Pakistan secures Green Climate Fund accreditation
Karandaaz Pakistan GCF accreditation, approved in Songdo, lets the impact investor channel international climate finance into private and climate-resilient projects.
Karandaaz Pakistan has been accredited by the Green Climate Fund as a direct access entity.
The GCF Board approved the status at its 46th meeting in Songdo, Republic of Korea.
The firm can now access, blend and channel climate finance aligned with Pakistan’s NDCs, National Adaptation Plan and Green Taxonomy.
GCF’s Achala Abeysinghe and Karandaaz CEO Waqas ul Hasan said the link can expand climate finance for local markets.
Over the past decade Karandaaz has backed climate-smart MSMEs through growth equity, debt and blended finance.
