Kashmir Chowk Underpass Islamabad ready after 27 days

The Kashmir Chowk Underpass Islamabad will ease traffic at the busy junction after a record 27-day build, Mohsin Naqvi said, with 6,000 plants nearby.

The underpass will open to traffic on Thursday, 5 November.

Construction was completed in a record 27 days.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected the site and praised workers as the “real heroes”.

About 6,000 trees and plants have been planted around the underpass.

Authorities expect smoother traffic flow through Kashmir Chowk after opening.
