Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gets 11-member federal monitoring panel
Sources told Jang the committee will track governance, law and order and daily administration, with Ishaq Dar named convener of the 11-member body.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed an 11-member committee on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jang reported.
Sources told Jang it will monitor governance, law and order and day-to-day affairs, with Ishaq Dar as convener.
Named members include Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal, Amir Muqam, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Rana Sanaullah, plus a PPP, BAP and IPP representative.
A Samaa TV post said social media propaganda about unrest in the province had been termed misleading, without saying who decided that.
Jang’s report does not confirm social media claims that governor’s rule is in place.
