Governor Kundi chairs first KP Advisory Council meeting
The KP Advisory Council first meeting, chaired by Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, followed emergency rule as an 11-member body took charge of KP departments.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi chaired the council's first meeting and said, "Our fight is against terrorism."
On Sunday the federal government named an 11-member council headed by Kundi after emergency measures and governor's rule removed the PTI provincial government.
The council covers finance, education, energy, health, law, industries, mines, information and development, with a secretariat for 12 districts facing serious security challenges.
On Monday Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formed a separate committee, convened by Ishaq Dar, to monitor the Centre's handling of KP.
Kundi told Information Adviser Samar Haroon Bilour that a zero-tolerance policy against corruption would be enforced.
