Islamabad court keeps non-bailable warrants for KP CM Afridi
An Islamabad magistrate kept the KP CM arrest warrant in force after Sohail Afridi missed a PECA hearing over alleged remarks against state institutions; the next date is November 15.
Islamabad’s District and Sessions Court on Thursday upheld non-bailable arrest warrants for KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman maintained the warrants after Afridi’s absence and ordered his arrest and production in court.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency registered the case under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
Allegations relate to misleading accusations against state institutions and harm to their reputation.
Further proceedings were adjourned to November 15, with the warrants remaining in force.
