Gujrat banners cast Elahi and PML-Q leaders as backing the KP emergency
The KP emergency banners controversy grew after Moonis Elahi and PML-Q figures denied Gujrat billboards that cast them as backing emergency and governor's rule.
Unidentified banners in Gujrat on Sunday pictured Parvez Elahi, Moonis Elahi and Field Marshal Asim Munir as supporting emergency and governor's rule in KP.
Moonis Elahi said on X that he and his father are with Imran Khan and that their pictures were used fraudulently.
Sajid Yousaf (NA-63) and Syed Wajahat Shah (NA-65) denied backing emergency in KP, as did the side of PML-Q MPA Musa Elahi.
The banners were removed after those denials; one showing Shujaat Hussain and Asim Munir later reappeared without Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.
Sources said Gohar Ali Khan consulted Parvez Elahi on talks before emergency in KP, and that both camps suspected the local administration.
