Lahore traffic police set Rs2,000 fine for unlicensed bikes
Syed Abdul Rahim Sherazi has ordered challans and impoundment for underage driving, missing licences, helmetless riding and one-way breaches in Lahore.
Lahore traffic police will run a citywide crackdown on underage drivers, unlicensed motorists, riders without helmets, one-way violations and motorcycles carrying three riders.
A car driven without a licence faces a Rs5,000 fine; an unlicensed motorcyclist faces Rs2,000 and impoundment.
A motorcycle taken from an underage rider will be released only after a juvenile driving permit is produced.
A first one-way violation draws a fine; a repeat will lead police to register a formal case.
Special checkpoints will be placed outside driving licence centres, and circle officers will supervise the campaign.
