LHC clears 24 CT scan machines for Punjab DHQ hospitals
The Lahore High Court dismissed a constitutional challenge, clearing Punjab’s Health and Population Department to proceed with in-house scanners at 24 district headquarters hospitals.
The Lahore High Court dismissed Constitutional Petition No. 66022 of 2026 against procurement of 24 CT scan machines.
The machines are meant for in-house facilities at 24 District Headquarters (DHQ) hospitals across Punjab.
Eastern Medical Technology Services filed the petition; the court found no violation of the Punjab Procurement Rules, 2014.
M/s Vertex Medical was the lowest successful bidder to supply Siemens-manufactured CT scan machines.
PPRA’s Managing Director, Sahabzadi Wasimah Umar, also examined the procurement dispute at the regulatory level.
