Loadshedding management system to pilot in Lahore, Kasur
The loadshedding management system, known as APMS, will link transformers to smart meters to pinpoint theft, while feeders with 30 percent or higher losses keep facing loadshedding.
The APMS will be installed on transformers and synced with smart meters to track consumption in real time.
The pilot is set for Lahore and Kasur, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to inaugurate it.
Loadshedding will continue on feeders reporting losses of 30 percent or higher.
Loadshedding hours on loss-making feeders range from two hours in category 1 to 10 hours in category 5.
