Chunian THQ surgery: towel reportedly left in woman's abdomen
Alleged medical negligence in Kasur left a surgical towel in a woman's abdomen at Chunian THQ; she was operated on again in Lahore after an ultrasound found it.
A towel was reportedly left inside a woman's abdomen during surgery at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Chunian, Kasur.
Her condition worsened and she was moved to Lahore General Hospital, where an ultrasound found the towel.
She said doctors at Lahore General Hospital operated again to remove it.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Kasur deputy commissioner have taken notice of the incident.
