Mr Patlu ki shaadi lure of Rs2 crore prizes ends in death
Police say TikToker Ansar Mahmood, known as Mr Patlu, urged a sudden rush into Faraz Ground during his Sialkot mehndi; one man died and six people were arrested.
One man, Aqeel, died in a stampede at Mr Patlu’s mehndi at Faraz Cricket Ground on Daska Road, Sialkot, on Saturday evening.
Police say social media ads of Rs2 crore cash, a car, 50 motorcycles and other gifts drew crowds from Sialkot and nearby districts.
An FIR names nine accused, including TikToker Ansar Mahmood alias Mr Patlu, plus 45 unknowns; six people have been arrested.
District administration says an NOC for the venue was cancelled before the event for alleged condition violations.
Injured witnesses say contradictory prize announcements and a baton charge worsened the crush.
