Murad Saeed blamed for collapse of the KP negotiations
Naqvi told the Senate that six draft changes reached Sohail Afridi and were passed to Murad Saeed, and that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa negotiation then fell apart.
Mohsin Naqvi told the Senate on Tuesday that Murad Saeed caused talks between the federal government and PTI to collapse, and that former KP chief minister Sohail Afridi was not deciding.
He said six amendments were sent to Afridi and then forwarded, and that a phone call at 11:45pm produced no agreement.
Naqvi said emergency and governor's rule in KP were imposed under the Constitution, an option he said had been open on November 26 and earlier.
He alleged that several PTI members had links with the banned TTP, and claimed that 80 per cent of those in the current terrorism wave were coming from Afghanistan.
He said Asad Qaiser had assured support against terrorism, but that the KP government's position did not match that assurance.
