School Bus Safety Rules: Murree Police Add Fire Extinguishers

Murree's traffic police say school bus safety rules now require fire extinguishers, passenger caps by school level and inspections two to three days a week.

Fire extinguishers are now mandatory in every school vehicle in Murree, and regular inspections will be carried out.

Carry vans and pickups may take up to 12 primary-level children, 10 middle-school students or eight students above middle-school level.

Police have a zero-tolerance policy on overloading, speeding and overcharging, and transporters who exceed limits face legal action.

Drivers may not carry petrol in open containers in school vehicles or smoke while driving.

Teams from Murree and Kotli Sattian will inspect school transport two to three days a week.
